Behavioral Interventions for Mental Health Conditions in Primary Care
摘要
It is increasingly recognized that a significant portion of a primary care providers (PCP) workday involves chief complaints that include a behavioral health (BH) component. Within those complaints, PCPs are most likely to see the “common colds” of the BH world—anxiety and depression—on a daily basis. Generally, the most common BH conditions that are managed in primary care fall into several categories: anxiety, depression, trauma/PTSD, and adjustment disorder. This chapter highlights basic behavioral interventions that the PCP might consider when managing common BH conditions in primary care.
