摘要

The fourth industrial revolution, industry 4.0, consists of various technologies, the Internet of Things (IoT), and sensor technology for data gathering, analysis, distribution, and storage, these act as facilitators for smart machines. Sensor-supported IoT contains various sensors that are organized in the network area. Moreover, in the last decades the sensors get advancements in various areas in engineering specifically material science and scalable micromachining technologies. For the advancement of industries, energy efficiency is the core element of Industry 4.0. The Sensors-enabled Industry 4.0 requires energy-efficient secure data transmission for coherent execution of its sensor cloud system. Faster energy depletion causes an interruption in the progressive growth of Industry 4.0. An energy-efficient secure scheme is required to prevent the sensors from various attacks on the sensor cloud environment. In this chapter, we proposed a fuzzy logic-based lightweight trust calculation scheme for edge node selection in IoT. Data availability behavior and transmission behavior of the sensor nodes have been taken to evaluate the performance of the proposed scheme. The simulation was conducted and results have been evaluated. The simulation results show proved that the proposed scheme succeeded in reducing energy consumption and ensuring the trustworthiness of the sensor network.
