The emerging issues of immunity suppression, diabetes, and cardiovascular disorder (CVD) are properly managed by diet management as evidenced by research. The metabolites of cereals regulate metabolism, enzymatic activity, gut microbiota, assimilation capacity, and efficiency of nutrient absorption in the body. The study aims to highlight cereals’ therapeutic importance, classification, chemical composition, impact of processing, and mode of action. These help in the exploration of the potential of cereals not only as a source of simple food but also as medicine. Our food is our medicine, and its rational application harnesses its full potential to combat lifestyle-related disorders.
