Isolated Lytic Lesions: Where Is This Coming from?
摘要
Isolated lytic bone lesions can be a diagnostic challenge for physicians. It is important to develop a broad differential diagnosis, perform a thorough clinical evaluation and work-up, and consider a biopsy to correctly identify the etiology of an isolated bone lesion. Treatment recommendations can vary depending on the site of involvement; however, regardless of the primary site, the treatment goals are to prevent fracture, restore function, and minimize pain.
