The WE ARE OCEAN_Wadden Sea project, delivered by the curatorial collective ARTPORT_making waves, exemplifies how such projects can empower youth to take concrete, informed action toward Ocean conservation. This chapter highlights the potential of these collaborations to raise scientific understanding and political awareness through the arts. WE ARE OCEAN_Wadden Sea fostered participating students’ awareness of humanity’s deep interdependence with the Ocean, prompting shifts in perception that encourage behavioral change and social responsibility.
