Wittgenstein’s method was the kernel of his philosophical work, the generative principle of his philosophy. It remained substantially the same over the course of his career, notwithstanding the shift in his philosophical subjects, from looking for a “general propositional form” in the Tractatus (4.5) to the endeavor to produce in The Big Typescript “the clearly surveyable representation of grammatical facts” (1933, 414). The findings and hence the significance of the present work’s “deep analysis” of Wittgenstein’s philosophy (Introduction, § 3) are predicated upon this underlying consistency of his method.

摘要

Wittgenstein’s method was the kernel of his philosophical work, the generative principle of his philosophy. It remained substantially the same over the course of his career, notwithstanding the shift in his philosophical subjects, from looking for a “general propositional form” in the Tractatus (4.5) to the endeavor to produce in The Big Typescript “the clearly surveyable representation of grammatical facts” (1933, 414). The findings and hence the significance of the present work’s “deep analysis” of Wittgenstein’s philosophy (Introduction, § 3) are predicated upon this underlying consistency of his method.
