Rykindo® is an intramuscular long-acting injectable (LAI) antipsychotic medication. It is similar in technology to Risperdal Consta®, but the release of the medication is quicker. Thus, requiring only 7 days of oral overlap compared to 21 days with Risperdal Consta®. Currently, Rykindo® is not available for purchase in the United States. This chapter provides clinical pearls on how to appropriately prescribe and administer Rykindo®.
