The solar energy market is evolving to accommodate the integration of contemporary technologies and artificial intelligence (AI). We can achieve improvements in efficiency, dimensions, and adaptability. Solar energy, a rapidly advancing renewable energy source, presents challenges related to efficiency, climate variations, and energy storage. Implementing AI and new technologies aims to eradicate these difficulties by enhancing energy production, regulating the grid, and forecasting energy demand and supply unprecedentedly. The alteration will improve the feasibility of solar energy and promote the adoption of cleaner, sustainable energy sources globally. The growing popularity of distributed renewable energy systems (RESs), including wind and photovoltaics, in conjunction with large-scale power generation facilities such as hydro and fossil fuels, will advance the smart grid towards carbon neutrality. This chapter discusses the role of artificial intelligence and other advanced technologies in maximizing solar energy efficiency. It outlines how these enhancements will result in more adaptive, scalable, and efficient methods while addressing significant problems such as energy storage systems and reliance on weather conditions. Artificial intelligence significantly enhances the practicality and feasibility of solar energy, thereby positively influencing global sustainability through optimal energy production, grid management, and accurate predictions of energy generation and demand.
