New REBT Terminology for a Modern Therapeutic Age
摘要
In this opening chapter, I will put forward important changes to the terminology I have made to make REBT more accessible to current practitioners. In particular, I suggest changes to the following concepts and discuss reasons for these changes: (i) activating event; (ii) beliefs; (iii) rational and irrational—when used to describe beliefs; (iv) low frustration tolerance; and (v) disputing—when used with reference to beliefs.
