Growth and Reproduction Patterns of Pistia stratiotes L. in Hyderabad, Sindh, Pakistan
摘要
This research paper presents parameters about observations on the growth and reproduction of Pistia stratiotes L. an aquatic plant that floats. There were two types of environments in which this study was conducted: indoor and outdoor. Plant height, leaf count, and rhizoid length were among the growth characteristics tested; the number of daughter plants produced in three months was used to assess reproductive success. According to the results, P. stratiotes L. flourished well in the control field, with the outdoor pond showing the best growth and the inside aquarium showing growth oscillations. Environmental factors also significantly impacted the plant's ability to reproduce; in the outside setting, most daughter plants were created. According to the chemical study, outdoor plants have higher levels of metals such as Ca, Cd, Mn, Ni, and P than interior plants, this study emphasizes how crucial environmental factors are to P. stratiotes L. development, reproduction, and metal intake, which has consequences for its management and cultivation in various contexts.
