The cosmetic industry has been exploring the use of fungal-derived bioactive compounds in recent years. This chapter provides an overview of commercially available cosmetics that contain fungal-derived bioactive compounds, including hand sanitizers, washing soaps, and saponification products. The chapter highlights the benefits of using these products and their potential applications in the cosmetic industry. Fungal-derived bioactive compounds have been found to have anti-aging, antioxidant, anti-wrinkle, skin lightening, moisturizing, anti-acne, and anti-dandruff effects. The chapter also provides eight ready-to-use recipes of different cosmetic formulations fortified with mushroom extracts for the benefit of entrepreneurs and researchers in the cosmetic industry. The chapter concludes with a discussion of the future prospects of fungal-derived bioactive compounds in the cosmetic industry.
