In this chapter we study more general (degenerate) spectral networks which are very relevant for a number of physical applications. A special class of such general networks arises when all leaves of the critical graph for a Strebel differential have both ends on branch points. Such spectral networks are called Fenchel–Nielsen spectral networks due to their relationship with certain length-twist parameters, a construction that will be demonstrated in Sect. 16.6 .

摘要

In this chapter we study more general (degenerate) spectral networks which are very relevant for a number of physical applications. A special class of such general networks arises when all leaves of the critical graph for a Strebel differential have both ends on branch points. Such spectral networks are called Fenchel–Nielsen spectral networks due to their relationship with certain length-twist parameters, a construction that will be demonstrated in Sect. 16.6 .
