This research proposes the integration of business technology tools into the Public Accounting and Auditing program at Universidad Santo Tomás to improve students’ readiness for the digital transformation of the business world. The inclusion of tools such as SAP and BUK in the curriculum aims to ensure students acquire relevant and up-to-date competencies aligned with market demands. The proposal stands out for aligning the curriculum with the graduate profile and institutional objectives, allowing for a progressive development of technological skills through a structured approach at basic, intermediate, and advanced levels. It is also integrated across various accounting subjects, enabling students to acquire digital competencies applied to key areas like financial management, payroll, and decision-making. Continuous faculty training and the use of self-learning resources are essential for the success of the proposal, ensuring teachers can effectively guide students. However, challenges such as varying levels of technological familiarity among faculty and the time needed for students to adapt to these tools are identified. In conclusion, the integration of these technologies prepares graduates to face the challenges of the modern business world, and continuous support will be key to ensuring the initiative’s success.
