摘要
Vocation and teaching interests allow understanding of the sociocultural links of each profession, recognizing that the profession of Physical Education usually has an important link with the areas of physical activity, sport and health. Therefore, this study focuses on understanding the vocation and teaching interests of first-year Physical Education Pedagogy students at a university in the Maule Region. The methodological approach is mixed, and it is a single case study. The participation consists of 50 first year Physical Education Pedagogy students, with an average age of 19.48 years. Data was collected with two questionnaires. The qualitative data were analyzed in the ATLAS.ti program and the quantitative data in the SPSS program. The results show a strong sociocultural link between the students with sports, healthy living, care for the environment, recreation and free time. It is concluded that there is a wide range of vocational motives and teaching interests, which makes teacher training quite challenging.
