Prototype for Sustainable Parking Lots with Automated Parking Using Raspberry Pi and Dashboard Node-red
摘要
The lack of automation in parking systems generates numerous inconveniences that affect both users and administrators, negatively impacting the experience and operational efficiency. This work implements an automatic control system to determine available spaces in a parking lot, reducing the time spent searching for empty spaces, excessive energy consumption and the insecurity of these spaces. An automated parking lot uses sensors to detect vehicles in the space with an accuracy level of 98%, but the time it takes to look for a green light indicating that the spot is empty is high. Through the application of infrared sensors, visualization systems and microcontrollers, an efficient system was developed that guarantees real-time monitoring of the availability of spaces, minimizing traffic congestion. A full analysis of system requirements, block diagrams, schematic diagrams, and functional tests were performed. In addition, the implementation of communication protocols such as MQTT and visualization tools such as Node-RED allow you to see agile and effective data management. The system not only improves the user experience but also contributes to sustainability by reducing energy consumption. This project demonstrates the potential of automated technologies in the modernization of urban infrastructures.
