The study aims to diagnose good practices in the use of artificial intelligence in two higher education institutions located in Quito. It follows the quantitative, descriptive, cross-sectional field paradigm. Data collection techniques: survey and interview. Instruments: questionnaire and structured interview. Population: 93 teachers, six coordinators and 2557 students. Teachers and coordinators responded to the survey and interview in 100%, respectively. For students, the sample was 352. Results: Of the six dimensions analyzed, five have a perception of high-moderate significance and one moderate. The opinion of the coordinators corresponds to that of teachers and students. The neutral option was selected by teachers and students in 25.76% and 26.78% respectively. The structuring of a continuing education program for teachers is proposed.
