This study evaluates the reliability of Meteonorm typical meteorological year (TMY) data in predicting moisture-induced damage in internally insulated walls with wood fiber in South Tyrol. It compares Meteonorm TMY data with multi-year ground station records in Silandro, Bolzano, and Santa Maddalena to assess wood degradation risks under peak moisture loads. Hygrothermal simulations in Delphin were performed for wood, stone, and brick walls. Earth Mover’s Distance (EMD) quantified discrepancies in relative humidity, temperature, and moisture content. Results indicate that Meteonorm underestimates moisture risks, particularly in S.Maddalena and Silandro. Multi-year datasets are essential for accurate damage predictions in regions with strong climate variations.

摘要
