Navigating Integration: Mapping the Socio-Spatial Experiences of Asylum-Seeking Women in Molins de Rei, Catalonia
摘要
This chapter explores the intersection of mobility and identity among asylum-seeking women in Molins de Rei, Catalonia. It examines their daily movements and interactions within the city to reveal how these women navigate experiences of displacement. The study shows how spatial mobility and access to local activities shape their sense of identity and inclusion by drawing on qualitative interviews, participatory mapping, and ethnographic fieldwork. Furthermore, socio-spatial maps highlight the barriers and opportunities that define their interactions with urban spaces. This work contributes to broader discussions on migration and gender in cities, offering insights into the lived experiences of displaced women in smaller metropolitan areas often overlooked in migration research. The study underscores the importance of gender-sensitive approaches in urban planning and policymaking to support the well-being and inclusion of asylum-seeking women.
