“We Feel Like We’ve Had Our Wings Clipped a Little Bit”: Leisure and the Closing in of Horizons on the Home
摘要
The focus of this chapter is on the closing in of parents’ horizons on the family home, giving particular consideration to how this changed the dynamics of family relationships—notably relationships between parents and their children, between children, and between parents themselves. As part of this, the chapter examines changes to the leisure time of parents and children and how time was spent when parents were not working and children were not engaged in schoolwork.
