This chapter examines experiences of parenting toddlers and older primary-aged children during the pandemic. Within a framework of existing studies of childhood and parenting over time, the chapter has a particular focus on delivery of education and the role of childcare providers, incorporating experiences of parents with children in the home who would normally attend early childcare establishments, as well as children undertaking schoolwork in their home environments. The chapter also explores the testimonies of keyworkers, whose children were able to continue attending nurseries, schools and other childcare providers.
