This paper presents the result of a scientometric review of the existing body of knowledge on adaptive architecture. This was done to consolidate current understanding, while revealing emerging trends, and guiding future research directions. To achieve this, the review identified and synthesised the dominant research themes and explored the knowledge production landscape by assessing the relationships among contributing scholars and countries. Using the Scopus database with carefully selected keywords, 101 bibliographic data of documents published from 2015 to 2025 were analysed. The result revealed a growing interest in adaptive architecture, particularly in countries in Europe, Asia and America. Findings also revealed that some countries have limited international collaboration, suggesting a lack of collaborative partnerships, national priorities or limited research funding. Research focus in this area is concentrated around five major clusters, and emerging themes that can be further explored were revealed. The study's findings offer a theoretical contribution by revealing opportunities for further research, particularly in countries where such exploration is yet to be done. It also gives insight for policymakers and funders seeking to further explore adaptive architecture by showcasing key areas of research wherein funding can be prioritised.

摘要
