Overcoming the Failures of Training Programs in the Construction Industry
摘要
Training programs are essential for improving employee performance and sustaining productivity in the construction industry. However, these programs often fail to deliver desired outcomes due to various challenges. This study investigates the factors contributing to the failure of training programs in the construction sector and proposes solutions to enhance their effectiveness. Using the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) method, four key solutions are evaluated and ranked based on expert input from professionals across diverse construction projects. The criteria used for evaluation include effectiveness, cost, feasibility, and long-term impact. Findings reveal that designing training programs based on real employee needs is the most effective solution, followed by establishing appropriate infrastructure. The study concludes by emphasizing the need for strategic investment in needs-based training to improve workforce performance and organizational outcomes.
