This is an attempt to clarify the different senses of the expression “Tarski’s theorem”, according to different presentations. In the most usual one, it’s defended that the priority should be attributed to Gödel, rather than to Tarski. The views of Tarski and Gödel are also presented and compared. Some unpublished material is also used.
