The neutron sources have been widely applied to nuclear science, material diagnostics, biology, medical application, infra-structure check, security check, and so on. The conventional neutron sources are fission reactors and accelerator-driven sources. Recently, the laser-driven neutron source has emerged. In this chapter, research and development of the laser-driven neutron source is reviewed.

The neutron sources have been widely applied to nuclear science, material diagnostics, biology, medical application, infra-structure check, security check, and so on. The conventional neutron sources are fission reactors and accelerator-driven sources. Recently, the laser-driven neutron source has emerged. In this chapter, research and development of the laser-driven neutron source is reviewed.
