People are rather well educated and organized to face simple disasters, yet, they are much less competent when facing complex risks in the interconnected systems that build the structures of our world, such as organizations, economies, societies and the environment. Thus, effective preparedness requires building social capacity through education and training. The chapter present the design thinking as the teaching approached tailored for the security needs. The theoretical theories supporting this choice as well as methodologies and practical implementation in short/agile courses are presented and skills frameworks analysed as the guidelines for security education and training programs.
