Mind Maps and Illustrative Dental Age Assessment
摘要
The use of mind maps to improve comprehension and streamline dental age estimation is presented in this chapter. It reveals the possibility of arranging developmental phases, techniques for age estimation, and their clinical relevance using a graphical representation. The mind map is based on skeletal radiography, mineralisation marks, age-specific evaluation for children, teenagers, and adults, and also emphasises important techniques of radiographic assessment and patterns of mineralisation. This framework enables an inventive, pictorial method for classification and juxtaposition of diverse strategies within a contextual, accurate, and reasonable judgment framework. Clinical diagnostics, education, and forensic identification are some examples of the applications. The mind map’s features and advantages are discussed alongside the promotion of the mind map as an interdisciplinary teaching aid or quick reference guide. The assessment becomes easier and retains understanding and memory with the help of the purpose-designed visual aid, which further aids efficient research-oriented dental age assessment procedures.
