Mechanisms for the Enforcement of Consumer Remedies Under English Law: Resolving the Shortfalls of the Law in Ghana
摘要
This chapter subjects the shortcomings of the dispute settlement mechanisms in Ghana to a comparative analysis with the consumer dispute settlement measures under English law. While finding the approach of English law, such as the use of ombudsman services, money claims online, and consumer education measures, among others, as viable, the analysis advocates for their modification to reflect the domestic circumstances in Ghana for the benefit of consumers. The chapter highlights the various viable measures and proposed modifications for legislative consideration in Ghana.
