摘要
This chapter examines how schools can effectively support diverse learners through equitable, collaborative, and evidence-based practices. Grounded in the Department of Educational Foundations and Exceptionalities framework, the chapter outlines core principles of inclusive education, including universal design for learning, individualized supports, and culturally responsive pedagogy. It highlights the roles of interdisciplinary teams, family partnerships, and data-informed decision-making in creating accessible environments that address academic, behavioral, and health-related needs. Practical strategies focus on proactive classroom design, assistive technology, flexible assessment, and coordinated care for students with chronic conditions. The chapter also addresses policy contexts, implementation challenges, and sustainability through professional development and continuous improvement. By centering student strengths and belonging, it offers actionable guidance to transform school systems and practices to promote participation, learning, and well-being for all students.
