It discusses the advantages, problems and implications of incorporating various technologies into the healthcare ecosystem in terms of its effect on patient-centered outcomes. Blockchain technology has transformed the management of data security, integrity, and accessibility in the healthcare sector. Patients are able to take control of their medical record while keeping it confidential and immutable through blockchain technology. In addition, its usage increases the interoperability among various health practitioners, thus making it easy to share data with ease. Cloud computing expands scalability in healthcare. By utilizing cloud technology, healthcare patrons can gather masses of an individual's personal medical information in a secure repository while having access to it globally. The application of machine learning algorithms in patient monitoring could change health care for better by generating predictive and prescriptive intelligence from medical data. With the Internet of Things, it is now possible to develop smart healthcare devices that are continuously collecting and transmitting patient’s data in real time. IoT acts as an enhancing tool in Patient Monitoring and Reducing Hospital Readmissions. It also offers insights on the merits, demerits, and moral implications of these advances in technology by examining them with relation to their intended beneficiaries namely patients, policymakers, physicians and other stakeholders in various sectors of medicine.
