Energy Supply Restoration in Post-earthquake Turkey 2023

This case study aims to analyse the challenges posed by energy supply imbalances in the aftermath of earthquakes and investigate the potential of humanitarian supply chain and logistics approaches to addressing these issues. It examines the existing energy infrastructure in the region affected by the 2023 Turkey earthquakes, energy logistics activities, and methods to cope with post-earthquake problems on both qualitative and quantitative scales. Detailed analyses are conducted on the unique challenges faced by Turkey. Learnings from this case study will help in understanding the major challenges and essential recovery strategies for critical resources and services.
