Methods of Gender Analysis
摘要
Women experience a system of disparities in resources, status, access to resource control, labor management, bodily autonomy, physical mobility, and the regulation of public and private areas. Gender inequalities are ingrained in societal structures and interactions; thus, conducting gender analysis is essential to investigate these systemic disparities. This chapter assesses diverse analytical frameworks and methodologies, highlighting the necessity of holistic approaches to incorporate gender considerations into development policies and practices. Various analytical frameworks, including those of Moser and Longwe, underscore the importance of empowerment and policy transformation. The Gender Analytic Matrix advocates for participatory planning. Kabeer’s methodology constitutes a comprehensive institutional critique. This chapter advocates for the incorporation of artificial intelligence, including large language models, machine learning, and natural language processing, to facilitate scalable gender analysis. This emphasizes the significance of gender-sensitive agricultural planning and execution for equitable and inclusive growth.
