Plurilingual Pedagogical Knowledge in Practice: Synthesising Insights from Australian Classrooms
摘要
This final chapter synthesises the key insights from Chaps. 3 to 7, advocating for the systematic integration of plurilingual pedagogical knowledge into teacher education programs. It argues that preparing teachers—both novice and experienced—to navigate linguistically and culturally diverse classrooms is essential in today’s globalised world. Beyond acknowledging linguistic diversity, the chapter emphasises the importance of equipping educators with the skills, knowledge, and dispositions necessary to create inclusive learning environments that affirm and leverage the rich cultural and linguistic assets of all learners. By foregrounding plurilingual education, the discussion highlights its potential to enhance teaching practices, promote equity, and foster meaningful engagement in increasingly multicultural educational contexts.
