The third cycle of research about hidden champions in non-developed economies has been implemented during a period of almost 3 years. More than 85 researchers and supporting staff have been engaged in 30 countries across Europe, Asia and Africa in order to investigate 70 companies identified as hidden champions. The aim was to explore and understand their success stories in order to present them to the wider academic and professional public. The case study approach was applied, and data was collected through secondary research, survey and in-depth interviews. Results show that in spite of different business environments and challenges they face, these companies show high resilience and adaptability. They manage to strive even in crisis situations such as the pandemic or international wars.
