Like Mennonites and Baptists, the Free evangelical Church is a minority church in the German-speaking context. From sociological-empirical perspective, their being church is permanently a minority situation. This chapter unfolds seminal ecclesiological narratives and how these narratives are relevant to these Churches and their congregations, that is, the change of denomination is presented and reflected. The relationship between the sociological minority situation and the theological-hermeneutical interpretation is reflected on and explored. Consequently, this change will address the question of how the continuity and the identity are maintained in a minority situation of a local church.
