A (Small) Gap in the Religious Market?
摘要
This chapter characterizes religious minorities in Germany with an emphasis on Free Churches. The specifics of this typically modern phenomenon of the Christian religion and its similarities to further religious minority settings are described with regard to the vertical and horizontal differentiation as well as the internal differentiation of the religious field and thereby put in connection with the three decisive process concepts of the sociology of religion in the present, the secularization hypothesis, the individualization thesis, and the market theory.
