This chapter investigates the challenges Muslim women encounter during the integration process in Germany, particularly in their efforts to maintain their religious identity. Drawing on a qualitative study through interviews with Muslim women, the research explores their experiences across several key dimensions. It addresses structural and social barriers, including obstacles such as labor market restrictions that hinder their integration. It also delves into the complexities of identity and belonging, examining the difficulties these women face in balancing their religious, cultural, and social identities within the host society. Furthermore, it investigates the role of Islamic communities in either supporting or complicating the integration process. Finally, the chapter offers recommendations to improve integration policies by emphasizing the multidimensional nature of the process. It calls for a broader approach beyond employment, language acquisition, and social and political participation, ensuring a more inclusive and meaningful integration experience for Muslim women.
