Dyslexia is a common neurological disorder that affects people and varies in severity. Dyslexia create learning disabilities that affect an individual’s ability and capacity to understand and comprehend written language which leads to difficulties with reading speed and fluency, this preliminary study examines how typography elements affect dyslexic readers’ readability. Developing digital material that meets dyslexics requirements is crucial for educational purposes and dyslexics in general. Reading should not be exclusive due to a disorder that can be helped by providing a better option, this study highlights typographic changes that can improve dyslexics’ reading experience by looking at different accessibility standards like the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) and the Dyslexia-Friendly Style Guide published by the British Dyslexia Association. In addition to explaining and reviewing current literature, the study provides information from expert personnel and organizations like the Dyslexia Association of Malaysia. According to research, accessible typography helps dyslexic readers in a big way by improving reading and lessening visual stress and distractions. Studies have shown that larger sans-serif fonts, appropriate line and letter spacing, and controllable color contrast between text and background help dyslexics overcome these troubles and issues they encounter.
