The sophistication of legal systems and the public’s need for affordable advisory services have been the primary push factors in the development of innovative products. The project proposed and named herein as ‘Design and Development of Legal Chatbot with LLM’ aims to right the said mismatches and bring people to the legal aid they require without worrying much about legal terminologies and requisite legal procedures. The chatbot developed is based on an advanced NLP framework using the state-of-art LLAM model with 7 M parameters; the chatbot has the capability to generate correct and context- based replies to the user queries. The project relies on media frontend technologies such as React, TypeScript, HTML, CSS and JavaScript to deliver smooth user experience. The NGrok links the backend to the AI/ML element to guarantee a secure means of data transfer between the client’s side and the server. It is aimed that the chatbot can understand the natural language queries, speaking legal language and processing legal documents and translate them into clear and accurate outputs for users. It is trained to be used to respond to most asked legal inquiries, enable legal interpretation, and to help in governing legal processes. Being primarily accessibility and usability oriented, the project is aimed at making legal knowledge accessible to as many people as possible and allow Users receive professional legal help as fast, efficient, and inexpensive as possible. Using the latest AI technologies with efficient development platforms potential of legal chatbots to change the approaches people and organizations use to access legal systems is shown in this project. This project’s outcomes reveal the possibilities and potential of integrating AI into business and support its practices in the legal sphere.
