This paper explains the principle of APU (Auxiliary Power Unit) corrosion from the APU engine and corrosion mechanism. At the same time, the general anti-corrosion design of APU is introduced, explaining that currently anti-corrosion is usually ensured through early anti-corrosion design and subsequent storage programs. This paper provides the impact of corrosion on APU and subsequent recommended measures when APU storage programs are not executed as required. Finally, a specific case study of a flight route is presented.
