Design of a Heterogeneous Network Applied to 5G Mobile Networks in the City of Bogotá
摘要
Communication is an inherent human function which has been manifested in history by different means since the invention of writing until the arrival of internet. Mobile telecommunication networks are the most modern way to ease human interactions at a distance, however traffic and demand of these services have increased exponentially in recent years and, undoubtedly, constitute an important aspect in the economy and daily life of the future. To achieve this purpose, a robust infrastructure which guarantees the users have the appropriate coverage and connectivity to develop their activities is required. Therefore, in this work, a Heterogeneous Network applicable to the fifth generation of mobile telephony in Bogotá is designed, identifying the current state of mobile networks in Bogota and the most appropriate heterogeneous network - HetNet architecture to be used in 5G at the city, proposing a suitable network design for the fifth generation of mobile telephony that incorporates the use of the mid-band at 3.5 GHz and 6 GHz as well as the high-band at 26 GHz in macrocells, microcells, picocells and femtocells.
