Although the majority of patients achieve adequate GERD-related symptoms control through lifestyle changes and pharmacological therapy, a subset will ultimately require surgical intervention. A successful anti-reflux operation relies heavily on appropriate patient selection, comprehensive preoperative assessment, and meticulous surgical technique. A step-by-step description of the surgical technique of laparoscopic anti-reflux surgery is described in this chapter.
