This chapter presents arguments that provide a chronological framework for the spatial distribution study. It presents the absolute dates obtained from samples taken from Cueva Maripe, Cueva Mora, and La Quinta. La Quinta is of special interest because it is the first open-air site dated in the area. The chapter discusses the possibilities and limitations of using existing information to establish a temporal context for patterns found at sites, concentrations, and isolated surface finds.
