摘要
From a multidimensional perspective, the landscape consists of meanings and social relationships that interact with the physical space. Therefore, human spatial behavior is motivated by physical, economic, social, and symbolic factors simultaneously. In this chapter outlines the analytical process used to study the archaeological landscape at the La Primavera locality. The process has three stages: First, data from archaeological surveys are classified based on general mobility and space use models, ethnographic information about Patagonian hunter-gatherers, previous archaeological studies, and differential preservation considerations. Second, geographic information systems and statistics are used to detect patterns in the location of the studied sector (exploratory data analysis). Third, particular hypotheses are proposed to further investigate the patterns found.
