Universities are not only a part of society, but must also be an important actor in its challenges. For this reason, universities have always modified their syllabus in order to be updated and provide a good and useful education to their students, tomorrow's professionals. This is a common process in all universities, but how the digital transformation has modified the rate of these changes in the society is probably a newer fact, and it is directly related to the field of Graphical Expression, which has changed a lot in the last few years. The subjects relative to Graphic Expression have to deal with all these changes, and the Spanish Civil Engineering Schools are facing them in different ways. Different criteria and interpretations could emerge; Are the contents of the different civil engineering schools homogeneous? Do different schools follow the same trends? Are there significant changes in the content of the subjects? Etc. This paper tries to give a summary of the current status of subjects related to drawing and graphical expression in civil engineering studies, to show how the different schools are managing the changes, and to identify what are the bases of knowledge related to this area at this moment in Spain. In order to achieve this, the curricula of more than 20 Spanish civil engineering schools, including more than 40 subjects, have been studied.
