Disease Suppressive Rice Soils in the United States and Their Importance to Crop Production
摘要
This chapter deals with rice soils of Arkansas in the United States. We describe the recent field trials conducted during the year, 2023 and 2024 when microbial products were introduced to rice farmers for the first time. These microbial products have had a visible impact on the health of the rice crops and more importantly, led to 30–40% higher yields. Therefore, we believe that this ecology-conscious method of rice production and development of disease-suppressiveness will play a major role in the future of rice production in the United States.
