Sophia Kilian is a 23-year-old German master’s student and Fridays for Future activist, who has recently been elected to Freiburg’s city council. She was running as head of the list for Young Freiburg, a local party with an upper age limit of 30. In this interview with Kira Renée Kurz, she speaks about challenges arising from high turnover rates in the party, the recently lowered candidacy age, and difficulties in representing those below voting age.
