In this research, drawing on the 3-level definition of TP (management, practices, and beliefs), I examine translation management for foreign languages at both national (China) and local (Shanghai) levels, COVID-19-related translation practices, and the translation beliefs of relevant stakeholders regarding translation management and these translation practices in the previous chapters. Building on these analyses, this concluding chapter summarizes the key research findings, proposes recommendations for effective TP for communication between authorities and foreigners in Shanghai, reflects on the value of the study, and outlines directions for future research.

摘要

In this research, drawing on the 3-level definition of TP (management, practices, and beliefs), I examine translation management for foreign languages at both national (China) and local (Shanghai) levels, COVID-19-related translation practices, and the translation beliefs of relevant stakeholders regarding translation management and these translation practices in the previous chapters. Building on these analyses, this concluding chapter summarizes the key research findings, proposes recommendations for effective TP for communication between authorities and foreigners in Shanghai, reflects on the value of the study, and outlines directions for future research.
