Coming to Sorrow, Pain, Shame, Grief, and Stigma
摘要
This chapter takes a closer look at describing the raw states of sorrow, anxiety, suffering, demoralization, despair, grief, and stigma and how I processed them through practicing patienthood and coming to terms with humanizing them instead of attempting to conquer them. I explored how I approached the meaning of suffering and pain through a spiritual lens. I reflected again on how the concept of illness goes beyond the medical and biological determinism.
