Prospective Energy Study for the Region of Andalusia
摘要
This study uses energy analysis and foresight through the LEAP (Long-Range Energy Alternatives Planning System) software to analyse the energy transition in the Autonomous Community of Andalusia, designing two scenarios for 2030: a trend scenario (without considering additional policies to those already in place) and an efficient scenario. The efficient scenario, by incorporating sustainable measures, far exceeds the emission reduction targets and the increase in the share of renewable energies. Comparison with the Andalusian strategic targets show an outstanding compliance in this scenario, although the non-efficient scenario achieves notable reductions, but does not fully meet some targets. The results highlight the need to improve efficiency and increase the penetration of renewables in key sectors, evidencing positive progress towards the Sustainable Development Goals in Andalusia. Areas for improvement are identified for a more complete implementation of the SDGs, underlining the importance of continuing to work on the regional energy transition.
