As pediatric providers, we are obligated to advocate for our patients who clearly don’t have a voice. We are also obligated to explain to the parents our medical management and answer their questions on a daily basis, at the least. Sometimes we feel that we want to listen to what the babies want to say or think of what questions they might have. Many times, they have good questions and opinions. Even some of them have written poems describing how they feel about the NICU and us.
